Ok, let’s talk about this apple and pear crisp. I wish I could hibernate with a pan of this stuff. It’s ridonculously addictive. I catch myself thinking about it in class even when my profs are talking bout stomach ulcers and irritable bowel syndrome related diseases. AND IT DOESN’T EVEN HAVE CHOCOLATE IN IT!

And the best part about this recipe, IT’S SO EASY. 2 bowls and you’re done. Like minimal dishwashing. You’re mighty welcome.

The majority of my friends say that my recipes are too damn long… and they are right. So here’s an easy one that doesn’t require 20 scrolls to get to the end of the recipe 😛

Apple and Pear Crisp

Servings 16
Prep Time 20 minutes
Cook Time 40 minutes
Total Time 1 hour

Ingredients
  

  • 6 medium sized apples sliced (try to use more than 1 type of apple)
  • 4 pears sliced (I used bartlett)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar you can even omit this if your fruit is in season
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • Combine apples and pears in the baking tray or a large bowl
  • In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon together, add it to the fruit and mix to evenly coat
  • Pour fruit mixture into baking tray
  • Combine rolled oats, sugar, and cinnamon. Then cut in butter with pastry cutter or knives
  • Sprinkle crumble over the fruit mixture
  • Bake for 40 minutes until bubbly

  1. Nomnomnom! Apple crisp is my fave. I even pick it over chocolate cake when I eat out. I must say your pics are getting insanely fabulous. I have been searching for that exact same wood background for my food shots for ages and just gave up. I love the rustic texture
